God decided to pull a cruel joke on me today. After having gotten up and making Daddy breakfast, in which Daddy was in a pretty good mood and he was fairly happy with me…he promptly found the 9k worth of software…..
right next to his monitor.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at the fact that I ransacked 2 rooms, the attic, the garage and the basement looking for that software and it was right next to him all along. It certainly does nothing for my self-esteem and belief that I’m capable. I can’t even begin to tell you I did in deed look there cause obviously I didn’t. Daddy’s mom said it was St. Anthony who took it and then persuaded me to offer him money in order to find it again. I’m thinking Daddy’s not going to buy that much.
I’d say more but none of it would be positive so we’ll catch up more later.

I did that sort of thing once. A friend way back when… sent us windows NT set. (this is in 96? when it was hot shit and cost a fortune) He asked for it back, we tore up the desk, the house, you name it. Since my memory was already on the blink at that point, I could not remember anything. So we decided maybe I had already mailed it and it got lost. He was ticked.. A couple months later… we move the desk… what should we find? that pack.. UNDER the monitor (stupid old stand they had on that) at least it was not just me.. I wish I had told you this story earlier. I want to point out… He did not see it either. So it was not obvious.. and are you/were you allowed to search his desk?
Sometimes we are blind to things. I spent over a year searching for an important bit of paper.. finally got to the ‘whatever’ point.. Only to find it after vacation (can you say stress relief?) where I thought it was and had looked before. I am starting to belive in pixies etc.
So.. make your offerings and such ๐
The important thing is that it was found, yes?
It is good that it was found. It’s just annoying because it slightly makes me look incompetent. But it’s all good.
