I’ve been using the laptop to write in the bedroom with when I’m not at my desk. In a lot of ways it makes me feel more “writer-like”. It’s silly but there ya go.
Over the weekend I spent a lot of time reading up on how to build your plot and ways to generate ideas when your Muse stops talking to you. The “how to” I got from Holly Lisle is fantastic and has been really helpful. (there is a link over at Tale Chasing for her and I’ll be putting a link in the menu later)
I felt somewhat bad for not writing anything all weekend but felt like I needed to know where the book was going to be able to write. It’s take a lot of turns since I started out on the 1st. I think I now have a very cohesive, fun, and origional concept and it really should be pretty easy writing from here since I know where I’m going.
So the point to all this is, I wrote some tonight. I have quite a bit of catching up to do to complete NaNo but I’m pretty sure I can do it. Todays end count was 13,029 words written. 1352 written today.
Go me go!
