Some of you may know that I am in the martial arts. I have been taking it for over 12 years now. I am the only female in my class and one of only 2 other girls in the adult class. Tonight, I was promoted to brown with a stripe. My next belt with be my black belt (assuming I pass the rediculasly hard test). So not only am I on a mission to finish my book but I am also on a mission to get in shape so that I will be able to pass my black belt test when it comes.

Tonight I wrote 2,032 words making my count 15,232. 🙂 Only 8k behind but I know I can catch up since I got help figuring out my plot. I also became and affiliate on Tale Chasing for Holly Lisle’s ebooks. They are seriously helpful and I recommend them to anyone who wants to write books.

I’ve been using the laptop to write in the bedroom with when I’m not at my desk. In a lot of ways it makes me feel more “writer-like”. It’s silly but there ya go.

I’ve been spending a lot of my time (when I’m not sleeping or at karate) working on Nano. We’re six days into it as of today (Tuesday) and I’m a little behind. I’m not to upset at my status. I think I’m doing pretty well. I’m not going to repeat what I’ve written over at Tale Chasing about it. But I did want to remind you guys why I’m being kinda quiet here. 🙂

I have to tell you, when I finished last night at 287 words I was freaking. I figured there was no way I was going to make my quota. I’m a little daunted even now thinking about tomorrow and managing to get in the quota. BUT!……

I’ve been up since 7am doing work. By midnight I manged to get to a point where I was able to start writing for Nano. I am very tired and I’m gonna nap a bit but so far for today I’ve written 289 words. The goal is at least 1667 a day to be able to hit 50k by Nov 30th. 🙂

Over the past week I’ve been a little stressed and worried about my family and friends. There are things going on in their lives that I want to help solve. And sadly I can’t. I got my first glimpse of what some of the other people in my life have either gone through or are currently going thru. The part of growing up where you realize that you can’t grow up for other people. That sometimes you have to let them do it themselves or they either won’t feel they can or count on you to do it for them. But it doesn’t stop you from wanting to jump and run to help the minute you realize there is a problem.

I’m hanging at Tat’s for the night. Daddy’s at home working and I feel a little bad at the amount of hours he’s had to put in lately. He’s a hard working guy and I appreciate that. I had a total blast tonight. I really really needed to get out of the house for my own sanity and luckily it worked out that I was able to come out with Tat and her girl and go to a Haunted attraction.

I wrote such a serious post last time and feel a little bad cause I haven’t really done much to start the projects. I haven’t felt good the last few days. Despite feeling REALLY lazy though I’ve kept plugging away. It’s what you do in life. You have to have faith in yourself that you can do what you set out to do or you’re doomed. So I keep getting up. 🙂 Sensei would be so happy. LOL

The last few days have been hard. I just simply had a horrible day yesterday. And then I did something really f*cking stupid. It’s a mistake that’s happened in the past. One of those mistakes like that comedian says “And this time….I mean it.”

It would appear I’m back!! I got my cam driver installed today and set up a ustream show. It’s pretty cool if my machine would get it’s crap back together. I need to get a new motherboard and fix my memory. I have to sit in a below -30 degree room to make sure it doesn’t reboot on me.

there may be a few straggler pictures as some of the ones i posted didn’t seem to show up and one was way out of order. when i get back to ks i’ll check and see if they went up and if not i’ll repost them. we’ll be getting on the airplane soon. We leave at 6:30 on airbus 319 (i think) united airlines. We are set to be home at 9pm Central (but I said that already I think)

Well I’m sitting here on my 3 hour layover in Denver. I haven’t touched a computer in about a week and I’m kinda in withdrawl. I haven’t gotten mail in longer then that. I dread going through the billion and one pieces of mail at home. I’m finally in a cell where I can upload my pictures so you’ll get a deluge of pictures soon as I post them to here and flickr. So be prepared. My dad asked me why I took so many pictures of myself and I suppose part of it is vanity. The other reason is from the webcam days and the few people who still want those pics. I miss the cam and maybe I’ll put it back up when I get home. So there will be lots of pics of me when they come through. I”ll also get all the pictures we took with my mom’s camera and get them posted. I need to find a way to print them all for those non-computer people like Daddy’s folks.
