Sorry for the space between blogs. As most of you know Girl2 lives in the northeast. While Tat’s lights stayed on, mine went out. It was weird because everything seemed to hit me all at once.

I was on the phone with a creditor when it flickered, then came back up. Then Daddy beeped in needing info, I received an IM asking if I knew anything about a blackout and airports being down and then was needed by Daddy’s mom all in the space of 3 seconds. So when the power totally went out I was way confused and harried. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Daddy’s Mom, Aunt, and I all gathered in the kitchen listening to these tiny tacky radio headsets they got out of their cigarette packs. I know it sounds weird but at least I got to find out what the hell was going on.<\/p>\n
Daddy had been headed into the city to do a favor for a friend when it started and decided to keep going since he didn’t think it was that bad. He hadn’t really gotten to the part about multiple states not having power. So he was in the middle of the Lincoln tunnel when it’s lights went out. About a block away, when he saw wall to wall people on the street he decided he would probably do better to come home. We agreed. <\/p>\n
As I said earlier, Tat was fine where she was which was odd to me since just about everyone else had no power. I felt bad she had to keep working.<\/p>\n
Daddy showed back up in time for us to head to karate and teach the 7pm class and then take our class. I have to admit I’d been hoping that we’d miss our class. Oh well. \ud83d\ude42 Power came back on at the house around 8:30pm so we were back up and running except for our T-1 until the next morning. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
So there you have it. We had planned to go to Great Adventure today but because of the power outage most of our friends declined for another day. Daddy went over to Tat’s to help her move some furniture and keep her company during her cold.<\/p>\n
I stayed home to get some things I wanted done and to chill out a bit. We’ll be working this evening and then going to a family thing tomorrow during the day. More work for Sunday night and the rest of the week. <\/p>\n
We’ll be getting our pictures and things ready to take to Dragon Con. We have pictures we took so that we can sign some autographs after our panel (Saturday 30th, at 7pm). I’m trying to decide if I want to color my hair before we go. But I think I might dig up the money to go get a massage and a facial at least for next Saturday! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
