Because Daddy has been pretty vocal in the scene it wasn’t a huge shock when he told me and Tat that he’d been asked to be part of a polyamoury panel being held at Paddles for DomSub Friends. I thought it was pretty cool and was looking forward to it not only because we’d get to go out to Paddles but because it meant Tat would be coming up and we’d all get to spend some time together.

We all ended up getting in for free because we were all on the panel, although we had to go back after the meeting to get the money that Tat and I had to pay to get in. The panel consisted of Daddy, us, and a very handsome, very well built black man exuding animalistic charisma. It suited him because he is the head of the New York Panthers Leather Club. One of his slaves and one of his mentoree’s came as well and they answered a few questions here and there, when we’d pass the mic to them anyway.<\/p>\n
The mentoree was a very cute gay boy who gave me a little “pat on the head” when I told him I thought him he was cute at the end of the panel. He had answered, “And I think you are very beautiful as well.” The tone very much said “cute little straight girl…you just run along I don’t date your kind.” LOL I felt a little silly but oh well…he really was cute.<\/p>\n
They asked us the typical questions you ask people in poly lifestyles. What does it mean to you? Do you get jealous? How do you handle it? What do you get out of it? etc For whatever reason I just wasn’t in a talkative mood that night. I sat next to Tat on the stage in front of Daddy and listened to everyone answer the questions. Tat did a really good job with her answers and it was a bit amusing to watch her and Daddy differ a bit on how they felt. <\/p>\n
Over all Daddy didn’t really say anything that I thought was out of the ordinary. He did surprise me a bit when he admitted it had occurred to him that not everyone “rises to the occasion” when confronted with a situation they aren’t that good at and that he was trying to keep that in mind when he was dealing with situations where that was concerned. It was nice to hear, as someone who doesn’t always rise to the occasion. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
At the end of the meeting several people came up to me and thanked me for my honesty. That threw me a bit because to me…what else would I be? But I think they meant they were glad I gave the answers not everyone wants to hear. During most panels like that people tend to gloss over things and it’s all light and sunshine. You tend not to hear how people do really get jealous and how they handle it. And I think they really enjoyed Tat’s answer about how you get from jealousy to envy. It reminded me of a conversation she and I had had at a diner a while back when we were trying to figure out how to be better sisters to each other.<\/p>\n
Cause in the end, if a triad (or more) aren’t going to work together, be poly all you want…its doomed to fail. I’m glad that doesn’t look like it will happen to us. \ud83d\ude42 I love my Daddy and my sister.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
