As some of you know, I asked (those I could reach) to enter my Mom in a contest for America\u2019s Best Mom. The website shows all the cool prizes she\u2019ll win if she does. http:\/\/www.americasbestmom.com<\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n

But I thought I would write and tell you that she was picked for the first phase of the contest. It goes like this.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

2000 picked to write tribute piece.<\/span><\/p>\n

50 out of 2000 to be interviewed by phone<\/span><\/p>\n

5 out of 50 to go to Branson, MI to be on TV<\/span><\/p>\n

1 out of 5 to win the big prize on TV! \ud83d\ude09<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Mom was picked twice to be part of the 2000. So I got to send in two tributes. <\/span>J<\/span><\/span> This is what I wrote below. The first tribute is from my entry. The second is what I wrote for the second entry my friend got for her.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are so many special reason my Mom should win. She has overcome not only polio and post polio problems effecting her mobility, heart problems, and helping my dad through post traumatic syndrome problems, but just recently made all of the arrangements for my Grandmother’s funeral after she had lived with them and hosted 5 siblings who came to see her for 3 years. She has ALWAYS been there for me and supported me despite my alternative lifestyle, which some mom’s might have turned away from. There is so much more…please pick my Mom if only for the maid service! \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I can see and have learned what an excellent mother my friend has. Her daughter lives an alternative lifestyle hard for the best of parents but her mother has always supported her in her choice and never let her give up when in doubt. Her mother is caring, strong, and personal able despite serious medical conditions. She didn\u2019t let that stand in the way of creating a medical career for herself. She\u2019s shown tremendous caring and generosity by taking in her ill Mother before she died and hosting her siblings when they came to visit. She deserves to win.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Anyway\u2026they\u2019ll be calling the 50 tomorrow or so. She\u2019ll let us know if they call but is thrilled to have just been chosen for the 2k and loves my tributes.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
