Ok this will be an interesting post….
First with updates: You’ll notice on the last post about TES I recieved a comment (that I pasted) from Elmo in ODEO form. The link on the side that says ODEO will let you leave me a voice post if you want to and I’m encouraging anyone to use it. If I listen to it and it seems ok I’ll post it on the site. If you don’t want it posted just say so in the message. ๐
TES went well and Tatsumi did a great job during the talk. Elmo asked what TES is and while I’m going to link it so you can see for yourself, TES is the BDSM group we go to based in NYC. You might remember we just went to TESfest where Daddy and I did security for the event and Tatsumi and Flagg ran the Dungeon Masters. I incidently recieved an award for Security Coordinator and Tat got one for DM Coordinator. I was pretty happy about getting it and I got many thank you’s again last night for doing such a good job. It was really nice to get.
Now…for my news. Sensei and one of our other brown belts just got back from Ft. Knox this week. Our school is the first outside trainers to go to Ft. Knox and train the Special Forces and Rapid Response Team. They did a fabulous job and got awards and lots of kudos. They’ll be doing newspaper articles on them. But the news we got tonight is that we have been offered to be the Official Trainers of the Ft. Knox Special Forces and Rapid Response Team. They have been funded to do so and will be either coming to our dojo or flying us to them to train them every few months. This means that aside from the fact that I am a member of the Police Tactics of America….but I am also the Secretary for the orginization and that now means something. ๐
รย I can tell you that I never thought I would be able to put Police Tactics Instructor, Security Coordinator, or anything like a security merit on my resume. So….cool. My mom has asked for the articles so if you want them to let me know and maybe I can link them for you as well.
In other news, it’s looking like there is still a good chance I will get to go see Adam this week. Keep your fingers crossed for me. ๐ And everyone pray for rain on Sunday. If it rains we don’t have to walk in the parade!
