Outing our Outing…

Tatsumi, Daddy and I will be going to Dark Odyssey at the end of December. It is a BDSM event that lasts 3 days over the New Year’s holiday. It will be the first event we’ve attended like this in a long time where none of us had to work it, so it should be a lot of fun and educational at the same time. We hope to see some of you there, so say hello if you see us or let us know you are going and we’ll keep our eyes out.

After talking with Daddy a bit some of the things I decided about my plot have been ditched for better versions of the story. He make a lot of sense and I’m very appreciative of his help. Part of me goes “is it really your story if you are counting on him to keep you on the right path re: the world mythology”. The answer is: “yes”. I have always wanted to help Daddy’s dreams come true. I always planned on writing some type of fiction to help create the worlds he envisioned. It makes no difference that this world is also of his design if I am the one who is making major choices about the direction the characters are going in and actually writing all the words to tell the story of their lives. Nice rationilization huh?  No seriously…I could butt my head against a wall all day saying that it’s not really my story if he’s contributing the setting but that doesn’t make alot of sense. So fooey on anyone who may say different…even myself.

As for the NaNo. I’ve gotten alot of advice that either says “screw NaNo and their rules, use this as a method to get the book done” and “just don’t tell em and add it later”. Regardless I think all the comments make sense and if the bug bites me before Nov 1, I’m perusing it. To not write because of some lame attempt to win a contest is just silly. That’s not the point of the NaNo in my opinion. It’s not like if I completed the 50k words with the added 2 weeks I would win a million dollars. Then I might have a problem with the ethics of lying. But you don’t, so who cares. ๐Ÿ˜› I may not actually enter the contest but I intend to use the contest as a motivator.  If that makes sense.

I’ve also made a few friends online who can really help me brainstorm and I’m thrilled to have them. I’ll be using the laptop in the bedroom for times when I want to write but don’t want to have to be at “work” to do it. This chair sometimes comes with a stigma that I think prohibits some of my thinking. Use what you got, I say.

Maybe if you all are good, I’ll explain tomorrow what I’ve done with Ash and Kie. ๐Ÿ˜›
