So I’ve been hitting up some clubs to see if I can become a dancer. I spend alot of time on dance pads when I’m doing work and can’t really participate with people and that’s been getting me extra Lindy but I feel bad about it and have been looking for a way to also make more then what I’d get if I did the pads. Daddy says he thinks he heard that they are taking away the money from the business owners which tend to provide raffles and camping chairs so I’ll need a way to earn cash anyway.
One of my friends, Sam, pointed me at a club called Outpost 7 (linked later when SL is back up) and I went down there to see about getting a dancing job. It’s a really nice place and looks pretty new. It has a club room, casino, private club, and nude beach. I get 50L an hour for events plus tips and may start dancing even without events to promote traffic. That would get me 25L an hour plus tips. Right now they only have about 3 events a day. I danced today and had fun. Made 130 total from my pay and winning a raffle. I danced the whole time with this one guy but alas no tip. It’s possible that they didn’t know where the tip jars were but who knows.
It’s really a hard to call about what I want to do in SL. It’s becoming clear that I need to get my priorities straight. I’m slowly working my way into figuring out how to get my work done and NOT get in trouble for ignoring it because of SL but it’s pretty hard. There are just so many fun things to do. Honestly…I don’t have the *time* to really be a dancer like that. What would work best for me is to be a dancer as Succubus cause I really like the club and would hang out there sometimes anyway. It would just be an add bonus to hanging out there.
My other activities are becoming an LKH role-playing game that I’m becoming quite fond of. I’d thought about playing a VtM game but the more I think about the more a) I don’t REALLY have the time, b) it’s not the typical character I play and while it would be fun to “write” again…I don’t have the time for it.
Some other things I want to do are more job related which include learning about how to sell things in game, about advertising, and about making articles to sell. That part is job related but still has to use some of my “fun/free” time.
Basically I can use this as my fun. What I do to unwind or mess around when I don’t have to work but I seriously have to manage the time well. God does any of that make sense? Now you know how I feel.
