What it’s been like

It’s been almost 3 months since you’ve heard from me and for that, I greatly apologize. Part of it was not my doing and part of it was. As always I seem to be apologizing to all of you. Have been since 2007 when I first started my podcast. Motivation doesn’t come easy to me and I’m still trying to get a handle on it.

The back and forth

So I’m back to the back and forth of what to write next. I definitely want to write something next but ….what. And what’s the plot. Plots don’t come easily to me. Talking it over with a few people I get ideas but then it’s be suggested to me that maybe what I want to do Is write serialized fiction. Short stories that I sell for 99 cents and when I get 8 together I make into an omnibus.

Excited about Having a Book

So I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty darn excited about having a book published. I have so much I want to talk about over at Talechasing.com and I would suggest that if you are interested in the process you might go subscribe or check often because I am going to be much more open and show behind the scenes now that I’ve got one book done.

Just a few days to join…

There are just a few days left to join the mailing list to get early access to some important links and to win a free Print copy of Awakened. Just go to the Home page and join the mailing list. I promise your name won’t be used anywhere else and I don’t send out tons of mass mailings. Just when it promises to be fun!

I have an ISBN Number!!

Ok so I’m really excited! Things are moving along really great. I have decided not to add any bonus material to the end of the book. This means there will be some stories that will go to newsletter holders and some that will be distributed widely. The newsletter signup can be found on the first page of my kimikoalexandre.com site.

What would you do?

First, I got my second round of edits back from my editor and she said that it was great. That if she didn’t know me at all she’d never think this was my first book. She even compared it to the top three people in my genre (one of whom was Laurell K Hamilton. Can you Imagine how wonderful that felt?

You might notice…

One of the changes I have made, is I have created a mail opt-in form. I would suggest and (like) everyone to join that list because I have gotten notices that… Facebook may be making pages cost money…which would mean I would loose a lot of you. There would be no way for me to contact you to tell you what was going on, give you rewards and give aways, update you on new projects and the like. I would hate to see that happen.

So many things….all the things…

Well it’s the 22nd and today was the day that Guardians: Awakened went to the professional editor. I’m excited and horrified at the same time. I have already gotten an email back from her though and she’s given me some encouragement about the book and told me that it’s going well and not to worry. 🙂 So that is good news.

Look an update!

So after getting an IM from an old friend today I realized that I haven’t really been sharing much of what’s going on in my life with any of you guys who read the blog. I mostly assume people are keeping up with me via my Twitters or the TaleChasing site. Granted, even over there I need to update but….you get the idea.
